Yes it's possible to go back to old cm7 hboot or any other custom hboot, there is thalamus hboot patcher somewhere over the forums which let's you set partition sizes manually. Email Required, but never shown.
You have tye old CM7 hboot. Sorry if hboor is somewhat 'noobish' but I just felt it would be better to be safe gboot sorry.
