Asbestosdeath is an early incarnation of the sonic titans and this reissue collects their two extremely rare 7" singles onto one CD. Asbestosdeath's take on the songs reveal that their form was fully realized a year or two prior to Volume One and in those years the band refined and beefed up the sound into the final masterpieces that they became.

Dejectionwhich was released by Profane Existence and the self-released Unclean. Cisneros' vocals lack the power that he later developed; sometimes he comes off a tad weedy after becoming accustomed to his throaty delivery in Sleep.

These songs have been out-of-print for sometime but Southern Lord has stepped in and re-released both 7"s on one compact disc so that we may hear the conception of the legacy Sleep created.

Ssbestosdeath debut full-length from Kenoma is full of spacious, haunting songs that steadily build to great rushes of sound. Pretty much right off the bat with the first track "Nail" you can hear how Asbestosdeath evolved into Sleep. The heaviness is heavenly.
