Posted September 25, Didn't find a way to get older drivers from RealTek; does anyone know of a reliable source? Apparently some obscure problem RealTek and Microsoft have to work out. Tell us about your experience with our site. I don't know why but maybe the problem has been soluted after an update for my realtek hd audio driver which i couldn't recognize before.

Sorry this didn't help. I tried to update and downgrade the sound driver, but it didn't work.

Thanks for advice Debra but the answer includes my problem is this: I became aware of it gradually because I normally keep the audio at a lower volume. Did this solve your problem? How satisfied are you with this response?

Realtek driver for ALC268 and Windows 7 32bit

I tried my music cd's in other laptops, and the result was not that different, slight distortion. Reliable source for older RealTek driver versions? This thread is locked. I'm pretty sure they are correctly connected, in case i don't have any option to open the case of my laptop due to guarantee agreement.
